I just got Hellenes for Christmas, and I'm looking forward to playing it and comparing with Columbia's Athens and Sparta. From what I've seen so far, I have a lot of high expectations for Hellenes.

I bought Eastfront and then I was sold and now my collection is growing. I prefer blockgames since the blocks are easy to handle (my fingers getting old) and looks so good.

The new LOTR does a pretty good job of reflecting the book. I think Team Yankee does a better-than-average job of showing off it's book as well, but the rules do have some pretty big holes in them. Two Avalon Hill Sci Fi games are very good. Like th…

Empress Augusta Bay scenario/session using War at Sea

From several posts on my blog at http://pawnderings.blogspot.com and cross posted from Boardgame Geek:

Four Clevelands (Cleveland, Columbia, Denver and Montpelier, 16 each)
Eight Fletchers and/or Hoels and/or Kidds (Charles Ausburne, Dyson, Stanly, Claxton,… Continue

I don't. I don't miss the field even a tiny little bit. I'm way too old for sleeping on the ground.

Yes, this was a creepy ad. I looked at the Audi website to compare this car to others. Oddly enough, you are unable to compare it to the VW SportWagon TDI, which gets exactly the same mileage.
