I was a Civil War reenactor in the early 90's and wanted to learn more about the western campaign, so I bought up all of Dean's CWB Series games. Great stuff. However, like pot, Dean's games only lead to harder drugs ... oops ... I mean games.
Your favorite game(s):
Any CWB Series game, any SCS game, GMT Ukraine '43. Plus I am just getting in to the OCS games, bought Tunisia, EATG, Case Blue, DAK II.
Looking to buy Korea and Sicily. Also want to get the new SCS Bastgone.
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
Wish to play any SCS Game. Currently playing Tunisia solo
What game(s) have you played recently?
Ukraine '43, Stalingrad Pocket II, GMT kasserine, AH Stalingrad, SCS Yom Kippur, SCS Ardennes, CWB No Better Place to Die, AH Panzer Leader.
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
Not enough, couple of hours a week.
How big is your game collection?
I'm a Civil Engineer with a second wife and a couple of stepdaughters. 2 daughters from my first marriage are grown and leading their own lives.
Looking for some help learning the OCS system. I'm still involved in reenacting, but I have switched to WWII. I'm also a memeber of the MVPA and beginning a Jeep GPW restoration project.
Personal Interests (favorite activities, movies, shows, books, music, etc.)
My wife and I love old movies and will often rent one for the weekend. I an avid WWII history buff as most war gamers tend to be. I don't like the tactical level games, as they tend to be less about history and more about small unit tactics.
Favorite movies: Groundhog Day, The Longest Day, When Trumpets Fade, Casablanca.
Favorite Music: Smooth Jazz, 80's music, and Glenn Miller.
