Consider going to PrezCon for at least a day to take a look around. You'll probably want to come back for as many days as you can spare. If you love monster games, consider joining our group for WINTER OFFENSIVE every year--we do THE DEVIL'S CAULDRON and WHERE EAGLES DARE. No doubt you could play the 82nd Airborne in that if you asked! Bet someone will be playing IT NEVER SNOWS as well! Oh, I was obsessed with HELL'S HIGHWAY for years when I finally gave up on SPI's HIGHWAY TO THE REICH campaign game. I need to take a crack at IT NEVER SNOWS. But I love all the games/series you mention...right now I confess I'm getting into SERGEANTS! MINIATURES GAME (which is all airborne for the U.S.!)--overpriced perhaps but an amazing combination of Card-Driven Game/boardgame, miniatures, and roleplaying. This could be a MAJOR distraction!
Welcome aboard, Tom! We play a lot of the same games, but I'm a bit far from Woodbridge (down in Tidewater). Congratulations on your retirement! Hope you get more time to wargame! I'm particularly interested in what you think of IT NEVER SNOWS--I've been playing a bit of THE DEVIL'S CAULDRON recently but need a big game that's a bit less engrossing! Will be going to PrezCon in Feb at Charlottesville--maybe you'll be there?
