"Despite buying and even playing :-) some newer games I continue to fall back on my old favorites. The newer games sure are nice to look at but many of them rely on a complexity that saps the fun out for me.  But that’s one of the many…"

Indeed, I am a Marine--retired after 29 years in 2010 and am now a professor of strategy and operational art for the U.S. Army at their Command and General Staff College, working at the Fort Lee Satellite Campus.  Great place to be for quality of life and in the thick of Civil War battlefields!  Tons of wargame opponents and opportunities here as well.

Your favorites sure are classics--I recall with great fondness the SPI Divisional Series, particularly those Eastern Front titles.  Also played the heck out of Nap's Last Battles, Caesar: Alesia, and the Russian Campaign (still have all of those!)  Am looking forward to retiring from DoD myself in about 3-5 years!  I'll have more time for wargaming!

Ah, an old guard wargamer!  Welcome aboard, Wayne!  Lots of wargamers up in your neck of the woods--(friend of mine and I play up in Columbia where he lives when I can get up there!)
