Andreas,

Only portions of EFS are out of print and there is a move to update and reprint the older original games in the system as the rules have evolved somewhat over time.

GMT Games has a couple on pre-order on their website now I believe. www.gmtgames.com

thanks for the answer. I see that this series is OOP, so I suppose ebay is the best place to look for. Could you tell me why you rate it among your favorite games? What makes this series so special to you - besides the fact that is has lots of maps (which is a point of course ;-) )
