Siege Of Leningrad Update

The people have spoken and the people want grab and drag scrolling support!   Based on the feedback from comsimWorld and Boardgamegeek users plus my playtesters and I have added grab and drag scrolling, and revamp the stack selection process to be much less intrusive.  You can now just click on a stack and then a highlighted hex to move units, ineligible units will stay in the original hex.  If you want to move just some of the units or select an option you can go to open stack window.  If…

What's your preferred way to scroll game maps on a PC?

What is the best or preferred way to scroll a game board that is too big to view all at one time on screen on a PC?
- Keyboard
- Mouse-wheel
- Mini/jump map
- Slider bars
- Edge scrolling
- Grab and drag

-Other?

I usually include the first 3 methods in my programs but wonder if I have been missing out on a more popular method.

Programming Updates 1-8-2012

The fall of Idi Amin is complete and a Demo version is available from my website.  Just waiting on completing arrangements at wargamedownloads.com before making a offical announcement.

Work has started on DG project.  Presentation of the map and units is a major hurdle for this game but I think I have the start of a scheme now.

Still need to finish up Leningrad and Crassus.  There's nothing worst that having a project hung up at the 90% done stage.

The Combat report could use some improving and it can use more help info but there shouldn't be much more do. I think with some tweaking of the attack supply rate the game should mirror history pretty closely.

2) The Siege of…

Anyone Interested in a Wargame Design Program?

Would a (hex) wargame creation program be worth paying ~12$ to anyone?  90% of the code needed already exists in various wargame programs I have already written, so its certainly doable.  The big hurdle to a generic wargame program is the huge variation in combat rules so the program would only assist in resolving combat with the player determining loses and retreats.  I would be happy to describe how the program might work in greater detail and to hear what features are really important to…
