John Tillers Campaign Series

I am really enjoying this game, certainly more on the "squad" level than Battalion, but I am still learning but I have passed the steep curve and I am on the home straight!

What to play next? How do you decide?

At the moment I am learning John Tillers Campaign Series computer game and I seriously want to have a crack at Hearts of Iron, but I do want to start up a new board game too. Since I play solo, i have to decide myself what to play, and this can be a very long and agonising process....lol.

How do you decide what game to play next, board or computer (assuming it is not a new one, and one from your existing stash), and does anything influence you, like films, documentaries, books…

What are your Hobbies - Wargaming?

I posted this as I am curious to find out if anyone is willing to say what their other hobbies/pastimes are, if they have any.

Wargaming is a hobby to me, even though there are some who see it as way of life, but I also have other interests, most of which I never seem to have enough hours in the day to do them.

 

Board Wargaming - I love to play board games, but wargames are definitely the type I always want to play.

Axis & Allies ----> Hearts of Iron ----> HPS Panzer Campaign Smolensk '41

Since the New year, i have spent more time playing computer games rather than board games. This is something that was not intentional, I just happen to come across my copy of Axis and Allies on my hard drive, and decided once and for all i would play it. And I must admit, I did enjoy it, even though it is simplistic in nature and reminds me of Risk, but with air and sea power added to it, it is a very fun strategy game to play.
