For the French, I persisted with the flanking moves, using newly arrived units to bolster their strengths. I decided that the right flank looked more of a prospect to be able to break down and capture the redoubt, as the left flank was looking to well defended.…Continue

The stream running in front of the redoubt proved to be annoying, as this hindered a quick move to the left of the redoubt, and moving to the right meant going around the end of the stream. It also meant going around the clumps of forest, which are impassable to all units. I decided to wind the clock back and pick up this game from 1972. I have a soft spot for SPI games and Napoleonic Battles, and this is mainly due to my first ever "serious" wargame I ever bought was Napoleons Last Battles (SPI), and when I was sifting through my old S&T mags, I discovered this one, which I had never played.
