Our Wargame, which art on table,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done,
in vassal as it is on table.
Give us this day our daily moves.
And forgive us our false moves,
as we forgive them that false move against us.
And lead us not into contempt;
but deliver us from boredom.
[For thine is the kingdom,
the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever.]
Amen.

I have just finished off printing out all the maps, counters and other paper work for this game, which I downloaded from Mike Nagel's website, relativerange.com. Many thanks for this, Mike.
I printed the maps and charts onto 240gsm A4 card and the counters were printed on standard paper and stuck onto 1mm thick card with double sided sticky film (which still…

I got this game recently, as I am interested in this area of conflict from WW2. Has anyone ever played it and if so what was your opinion of it?
It did not score very highly on BGG, and to be honest, this was another draw for me. I like to play games which have been deemed poor or mediocre and judge for myself if the rating was justified or not. It may have…

Looks like pre-orders could start for the third print of this game. Noble Knight in America will be the official outlet, and in the UK, I think order can be taken on the Fifth Column website.
I will be pre-ordering this one!

I am reading the rules to the Musket and Sabre series of games by DG, and this word crops up several times and I cannot find out what it means or what effect it is supposed to have on units in the game.
I know parentheses are brackets, so WTF is parenthesized?
See sections 2.8 and 7.8 as an example in the rules http://www.decisiongames.com/html/folio_e-rules.html

For those in the UK or Europe, check out the special offers from the Guru, as they have dropped the price off a selection of games, some as much as 75%.

A website has logged all the bombs (that they know of) on a map to show the extent of the London Bombing campaign between October 1940 and June 1941.

If you do not know already, Matrix Games have a massive sale on a lot of their games....on average about 35% off.
I have already bought a few titles, so if you like wargaming on the PC, now is your chance to grab a few bargins.

I have finished playing a game, and I am deciding what to play next.
My only problem is what to pick? This could be the evil of having too many games.
I have a few games in mind, but I cannot make my mind up. Decisions, decisions!
So what influences you to pick up your next game? Do you decide on an era? Is it after reading a book or watching a documentary?
Do you get influenced by what others are playing or what you have bought recently?
At the…

For those who read my original post name under this post title, this will make sense, to the rest it will not.
I have removed the original post to avoid anymore upset to Paul and to avoid anyone else downloading his game for free ( and to those of you who have no idea about this, it was not me making his game available to download), as this would also be unfair to Paul and his business.
He was obviously unaware that it had been made freely available, and my…

Turn 5
French
The French move more units to the right flank, as this appears to be the more accessible and looks the most likeliest for success.Some more units are also moved the the left flank, but only to prevent any Russians from coming round the side of the French. Individuals battles are marked. Note the upper most battle - a diversionary attack (suicide) to allow better…

Turn 3
French
For the French, I persisted with the flanking moves, using newly arrived units to bolster their strengths. I decided that the right flank looked more of a prospect to be able to break down and capture the redoubt, as the left flank was looking to well defended.…
