Hard work paid off

Fondling Oscar

One reason why I've been out of touch for a while (especially towards the end of last year) was that I was hard at work on the visual effects for a movie called The Curious Cast of Benjamin Button. The company that I work for, Digital Domain, was responsible for creating the completely digital, aged heads of Benjamin that you see during the entire first hour of the film. Well, I realized that the one thing I have that I can share with others on CSW is my love for making wargames. I don't mean designing them (which I'm not terribly good at), I mean making them...creating the physical product, right from one's living room.

That's why I embarked on the whole Ellison die-cutter oddessey almost two years… Continue

My first blog...ever

Confession time: I've never had a blog.

I've had my own website for over ten years, but I've never blogged. In fact, I didn't realize until a few months ago that CSW had member blogs. I'm really that blog-unaware. In general, I think this come from not having much to say to the world at large. But I have found over the last few years that I actually have quite a bit to say to the wargaming community.

The question is, who is gonna read my rantings? Who is gonna… Continue
