Private Security Guards Kill Pirate Off Coast of Somalia

Functional Illiteracy at the Top

As a professional educator, I was most interested in the story of Otis Mathis, the President of the Detroit public school [DPS] board. Though the leader of the school system of a major metropolitan area, Mr. Mathis has a problem: He can't write.
