The official social networking platform of ConsimWorld

Hello fellow Wargamers! I'd like to open this blog of mine with a little introduction!

My name is Tom, or as many people have called me in the PC world: Enven. I have been a long time board-gamer, table-top nerd, and Military History buff [ Self proclaimed of course. ]. My time with History has been quite short [ As some of you older fellows ] but extensive. Since my education was directed toward History, primarily Military history, I have made it my life goal to dedicate myself to History and the preservation of it for as long as I breath!

For this blog I'd like to post on my gaming reports [That includes development of tournaments, and ones which I may be participating in], my palpate of praise [or disgust] on various topics and personal reviews of books I have read. I truly enjoy reading through the many blogs on this social website and hope to bring to the table as much as all of you.

Now I will leave you all with a quote that sums me up in a nutshell!
"You hit somebody with your fist and not with your fingers spread. " - Heinz Guderian (The innovator of Armored Warfare)

Regards,
Tom.

I Actually left the Arma, VBS2 and OFP days behind. Yet since i am a noob at Wargames, Hex, turn based, I'd be willing to play as opponents on an easy game by e-mail or however it is played remotly.
If you are interested drop me an e-mail

A Zen poet once said:

"A person who is a master in the art of living makes little distinction between their work and their play, their labor and their leisure,
their mind and their body, their education and their recreation, their love and their religion. They Hardly know which is which
and simply pursue their vision of excellence and grace, whatever they do, leaving others to decide whether they are working
or playing. To them, they are always doing both."

It sounds like you Tom Enven!

I've found the internal debate (i.e. the debate in my head) has been to either play a lot of games poorly or a few games well. I prefer the latter model, but then you must, as you say, find that set of holy grail games that one chooses to become goo…

Chris: Really - that's a good point. I wonder if the Audi folks realized the message they were sending out with this one. I doubt if anyone found it funny in the least. Smitty

I've recently printed and built "To the Last Man." I was able to play the game and get an idea of its look and feel beforehand thanks to BGG and Cyberboard. It's an excellent game, one well worth the bother. I _hope_ it is just by unfortunate accid…

Yes, this was a creepy ad. I looked at the Audi website to compare this car to others. Oddly enough, you are unable to compare it to the VW SportWagon TDI, which gets exactly the same mileage.
