A graphic I whipped up showing the approximate scale of selected WW2 ETO warames in relation to typical unit sizes (data for U.S./Commonwealth units). This should be useful for those starting out in wargaming who want to get a feel for what those little NATO symbols mean in terms of force size. Of course, many games have a range of unit sizes. The arrows are meant to represent 'centres of gravity' of predominant unit sizes for given games.

Comment by Peter on June 26, 2012 at 8:32am The only thing that bugs me about my graphic is that I have War in Europe at the high end of operational (same with AVL, but that seems to belong there). Given that WIE has a production spiral, I would almost be tempted to push it towards low-end strategic. Any thoughts?
Comment by Peter on June 24, 2012 at 8:36pm True Kev, but I wanted to keep the graphic centred on WW2 ETO, for the sake of simplicity. Might be interesting to do more of these for different periods and nationalities.
Comment by Kev on June 24, 2012 at 8:04pm why not Peter! 2nd best Squad game ever.

Comment by Stephen G on June 24, 2012 at 6:14am Neat Pete! Now you will have to give them all Punk Rock code names.
Very nice!
Comment by Peter on June 23, 2012 at 10:24pm Yeah, I used a logarithmic scale. Each axis point is 10x the previous one.
Comment by Kev on June 23, 2012 at 10:16pm interesting graphic.A big jump from 10 to 100 but it makes sense and they wanted to keep the scale consistent.
