Continuing the Record . . .
The 1975 classic Battle for Germany (SPI). In a 3-player version, the Germans held Berlin until the last turn. Here’s what it looked like before the Russians took
Berlin for a 27-25 victory.
Bannavento 60 A.D. from Warrior Queen. The Britons attack.
The Romans coming ashore at Iona Insulis - Warrior Queen (GMT GBOH module). The Britons eventually broke.
Played the "Clear" scenario in '65. US was losing until his M48 got 3 PT76 kills to achieve the 9 NVA losses required. Fun game!
An old Avalon Hill classic - Civilization, from around 1982. Expanding your civ from the Stone Age until - ? The full game takes a while to play, but our group enjoyed it.
Another "65 scenario, this one has the VC trying to overrun an American position in the Ia Drang battle. Very exciting, the US forces won by 1 VP, although the US player graciously tried to allow the VC 1/2 points for a unit that was on a hex half on one board and half on the other..
First scenario of '65 from Flying Pig Games. Card-driven tactical Vietnam combat game. Beautiful map, counters. Fun syste. Will play this some more.
Played this little gem with the Group yesterday. You have a fleet of German warships/raiders and three merchant ships. Action cards let you attack the other player's merchant ships with your German ships, also attack the other players' German ships with the Royal Navy. Players are awarded points for 1st place, 2nd place, etc. after each round ( one run-through of the Action Card deck). After 3 rounds, the winner is determined. Lots of fun, try it out if you can get this game.
