Hi Ted,

I'd like to have an assembled copy from you please. The game looks really great.

Hi Nick,

Yes the game is all done. The map is 22" x 34". The cards print on letter size paper. If you use ArtsCow they usually have deals so you can order all three decks for $7 a piece. Just use the link in the original post. When you fill in the decks you have to use the zoom out function so none of the text goes into the gray area.

Hi Ted,
I've made an Electronic Hand (xls file) for 1989 - mainly to help myself play on WGR, but would you like me to email it through to you?

Ted - stumbled on this - wish I had seen it earlier... Come join the Cold War group and pimp this a bit!

Yes When I get back from vacation! For now you can find all the cards on ACTS under a Custom Module called 1989.

Any way to add a file with a listing of all the cards, like an xls file?

I made some changes to the Map and cards. The Bureaucrat spaces have been moved to the capitals. The old capital spaces now bear the names of the countries. They also have a space for a 5/8" x 1" counter to indicate which side has power in the country. I changed a few of the connections, shooting for 3 lines to every worker space, 4 or 5 lines from the bureaucrat space, with the Elite space generally connecting to the Bureaucrat space and 1 other space. The exceptions are Cluj with 5 connections because of the Ceasescu's personality cult, and Dresden with 4, which is to give the Communist better access to the battleground worker spaces in Germany and keep the Democrat bottled up in East Germany early in the game.

I also corrected some of the cards. I moved the Nomenklatura and Apparatchiks cards to Early Year. I changed the Helsinki card to give the Communist a -1VP for Support Checks against Student and Intellectual spaces. The events that affect Power Struggles are generic +1 or -1 drms for now. Those will have to be updated once I settle on a Power Struggle resolution system.

The rules were also updated, and are almost complete except for the Power Struggle resolution system. To simplify the game I decided to make support checks the only mechanic to convert opponent's influence using Ops.

Hi Nick. Wait to make a copy until I think it is worthwhile to print up. Hopefully it will be ready in a few weeks.

The map is 22" x 34".

You can print it the cards are on letter size paper.
