I decided to add some more features to my Inkscape Boardgames Extensions , mostly to make it easier to write the CSV data for countersheets. I also added a few new examples to show off various features, and simplified the old ones. Many bugs in the hexmap effect have been fixed. There is also a few improved error messages. I'm quite happy with how easy it is to make countersheets using this latest version, and mostly happy with the hexmaps generated (there are some things I would like to be able to configure like when to put coordinates in half hexes or not). As you can see following the link above there is now a (very basic) home page for this project.

I removed the old 0.6 version from the my project page. I noticed that many people are still downloading that version instead of the much better 0.8. The hexmap generator in 0.6 was severly broken, and besides getting extensions to work in Inkscape 0.45 in Windows required many manual steps (including finding and installing some 3rd party files). I know Inkscape 0.46 is still not supposed to be "stable", but I think it works very well, and it comes with extensions support for Windows (and MacOS) out of the box. (If you try to run these extensions in 0.45 "out of the box" Inkscape will promptly crash, as some of you have noted).

Yes, I know. Exporting a single counter as SVG would probably work as well. I should probably add that as well (it is probably only a flag to change in the py-script when invoking inkscape to create the export counters, in case anyone wants to try that).

Thanks! As seen in one of my previous posts, there is an optional function included to output PNG files of individual counters. I use that in my current projoect to automatically get up to date counters for my VASSAL playtest module, but the generated countersheet in Inkscape I (will) use when printing to construct the playtest cardboard counters.
