Stayed up late last night and got up early to stow all of the games in the van--it took something like 10 storage boxes. I stuffed my clothing in the spaces between games to ensure I could fit Amelia, Jacob, and Rebecca's luggage in when I pick them up. The roof rack is our back-up. It's a good thing Harry Flawd stored the Juniors Library games in Lancaster. There's no way I'd have room to haul them up, too.
After a memorial service in the early afternoon and a nap to fortify me, I left late for Maryland to pick up the nieces and nephew from my inlaws. They thought I should spend the night and leave in the morning, but we are all anxious to get to the place where the gaming lives for a week (well 10 days) in the summer.
Harry called from the hotel, ready to drop off games, when we were still about an hour away. We were able to make arrangements so that he didn't have to stay late waiting for us. We arrived around midnight and got into our room (the opposite end of the hotel from the gaming, of course!). Games have to wait in the van for the night. We'll sleep, secure in the knowledge that the good stuff starts tomorrow!
