At last i have finally secured a copy of this game. It is one of a few games which I am keen to own, and luckily this copy looks in pretty good condition (going by the image on Ebay).

My search continues for the remaining game on my "to get" list, but at least there is one less now.

Hi Saxon,

I am looking forward to getting it and having a good gaming session on it. I hope some of the expansion packs come onto ebay soon, as I have seen quite a few of them lately, but did not want to get them until I had this one in my possession.

I loved that game!  Still have it sitting in my closet, but haven't played it for years.

I have the France 1944 version, but don't have any of the expansion packs.

Brilliant solitare design, with plenty of challenges and surprises.

Sounds like a good plan.

Although I have read the rules once and have started the second reading, I do get a sense that it is a game that will be nice to play, with comprehensive rules to make the battle realistic but without it becoming too complicated.

Hopefully i will start playing it this week, the first game will always be a "getting to know the rules" game.

Thanks guys, and i will let you know how I get on with it. I would also like to maybe get my hands on the expansions for this game at some point, but that depends if they become available on ebay.

I may not play it straight away as I am about to start The Caucasus Campaign (GMT) this week, as I am into the second reading of the rules and all set up to start. After reading the rules once already, this game is already sounding pretty good, and it is a good game for the soloist too, apparently.
