An Ebay Bizarre buy? Lille Packed with another game?

I bought The Crusades 3W from someone on ebay, and it arrived today. But what also arrived in the package was 1815 The Waterloo Campaign.

When I opened up the box of The Crusades, I then found an additional game - Lille, The Classic Vauban Siege 1708.

Neither game were in the description, but the 1815 game was underneath The Crusades game in the picture that was on ebay. I have messaged the seller to tell them of the error and awaiting a response, but while I wait, do any of you have any experience of the Lille game, as it looks quite an unusual game?

Moving will do this to your games!  I've often packed stuff together into a single box to protect it during a move with the intention of sorting it all out later.  However later rarely comes.  I really should sort through my stuff.  I bet I'll find my copy of "The First World War"

I might be tempted to hold off and wait to see if you do a video as you do give a very fair assessment of games you review, though going by the list of games I want to play soon, it will be a while before I pick up anyway!

I haven't gotten to this yet, but it's really been on my mind - the whole AoS box.

I had it out and was going to go with Tyre from the set, but it was such a lousy game

that I did the South Mountain stuff instead. It's also got a lot of thumbs on my request list.

When I went onto BGG to check the counters were all there, that is when I noticed Lille was really part of a quad set, and the prices being asked for the quad sets confirms what you have said about the value of the quad set.

It does look a very interesting game to play, using some different mechanics to what I am used to. I thought the measuring stick was missing, but then found it and an additional one made from the unit counter frame wedged into the side of The Crusades box. Gave me the impression they have incorporated some elements of miniature wargaming in this.

I will have to add this to my list of games to play sooner rather than later (along with all the many others I have on that list!) as it it looks to good not to play, and with your recommendation it will have to be high on the list.

Have you ever done a video for this game? If so, I will have to have a look.

You got a heck of a deal with Lille. It sold originally with the Art of Siege quad, which is a high priced item.

Both it and Sevastople use that measured terrain system - moving parallels forward to bombard,

and eventually launch an assault from. Neat design.

It looks unusual. I got these games from the same people that I bought King Philips War, and that game included Tide at Sunrise and Waterloo 20. I have a funny feeling they are doing some kind of house clearance and have not looked inside the boxes properly or are unaware of what is supposed to be inside each game. Good for me, but not for them.
