Thanks for the info Charlotte. I thought it would be good to find out as the Consimworld News showed that Hunted Cow Studios have released Civil War 1863 which is their second iOS strategy game, so I just wondered if anyone knew of games for Android

I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but UniWar HD was a free app of the day for Android on the Amazon App Store last month. It's normally kind of pricey at $4.99, but with no in-app purchases it's a one-time expense. Developers describe it as a multiplayer turn-based strategy game, and player reviews say there's a big learning curve. Looks like it focuses on combat and base capture.
