I enjoyed watching VASSAL match play of Bobby Lee (Columbia Games) Saturday night. The screen shot is taken when the match ends. The players called it a game after they confirmed each other CSA reached their Marginal Victory at the end of April in 1862. The match started around 4:30pm and finished 12:30am with the break & the wrap-ups, and I think I watched for about the last four hours. USA is supposed to be aggressive all the time, otherwise CSA will reach their Marginal Victory and felt that it made the game more interesting.

Greeting ! I'm Brian and playing BL. Having fun with second game. I can confim Chuck's post. My friend Roy built the Union Army into a huge machine that grew until the summer of 62, then won the game early making decent attacks. We are playing the second game, as the Union I've pushed back Magruder towards Richmond, but fought to a sandstill in the Valley, Union slight edge. It's very expensive purchasing command points. But in our game the Confederates started attacking, Roy used an opening from an old Stimulations Canada article, attacking with Jhonston agaisnt Patterson at Harper's Ferry, using the Confederate Cavalry from the main Army to pin Yankee reinforcements. Union counter attack was good, destroyed several units, decided not invade the Valley in Detail because of stiff winter rules, the Rebs can treat the Valley Highway as a supply source,, but rebs in current game counter attacked well.

Hope you guys post about the games you played !

Hi Chuck,

I see. So the early action is quite important for the Rebs.
