Crawford Auto-Aviation Museum in Financial Trouble

The museum has announced it is five million dollars in debt and will need to sell some of its priceless autos to remain solvent. This museum is a Cleveland institution. It also owns Shandy Hall and Hale Farm and Village where Mr. J and I attended a civil war reenactment this past weekend.
The economy is in the toilet and I suspect donations are way down.

It's really a neat museum, with a lot of material on the history of northern Ohio. I'll have my own pictures to upload soon, including at least one of the Thompson Trophy from the old Cleveland air races.

They are actually selling 19 autos, including a 1956 Gullwing Mercedes-Benz that was just donated in 2005, worth more than 450k. A lot of people are very pissed off about this.

Does that 4-wheeler qualify for the Clunker program? If they can hang on for 6 months, the economy seems to be heading in a better direction . . . let's hope it includes this place.
