Now available for preorder from Collins Epic Wargames. Frontline General: Spearpoint 1943 is a fast-playing WWII card-based combat game that uses tactical squad-level Unit Cards and Command Cards to simulate combat along the tip of the spear, or Spearpoint, of the battle. Each 30 minute game is one intense and unique frontline combat engagement that features engaging cardplay, lots of tension, and hard-hitting strategy for two players. The game will appeal to non-wargamers as well as grognards with its fast action and historically-plausible combat.

This game is only available as a high quality production version. Included in the game are 150 cards, 4 dice, and an easy to learn 2-sided rules sheet.

External playtesting is now ramping up as we shift from internal to external testing. Friend, CSR winner, and designer of the Conflict of Heroes series Uwe Eickert is one of the external testers and has already provided some excellent feedback during testing at WBC.

I could realistically send this game to production by the end of the year (2009) if I receive enough preorders. I definitely need those preorders to keep coming in and greatly appreciate your support of the game.

I'll be hosting and running a tournament featuring this game for up to 16 players at the Williamsburg Muster convention in February 2010 (Williamsburg, VA) and possibly Prezcon in Feb (Charlottesville, VA) as well. You'll also be able to see and play the game at Origins, Historicon, and Gen Con next year.

Retail Price: $29.95
Preorder Price (Direct): $24 + shipping
