This is not an advertisement, more of a comment. On the other Consimworld I posted a list of the games I have remaining for sale. In 5 hours there have been 133 downloads - with the net result of one email.

What it comes down to is these are a friend's games I am selling - not my own. For the most part I have weeded mine now but it grows slowly.

Well i got a bunch of SPI games years ago some i have played others i know i wont. So im a thinking in my normal Marine Tanker kinda way.....If i dont sell it that just one more thing to hump to the next place should i move. I will be burried with my micro armor. Thats just the way it is. Got to have something to do at the final duty station.

Eric:

Indeed it is - just like when new trains came out from MTH, Atlas and K-Line and savaged the old Lionel prices.

Let's face it, our SPI collections aren't worth nearly as much as we wish they were for a number of reasons. First, DG has reissued a number of worthy titles (some with complete makeovers) which means our originals aren't worth quite as much. And the prospects are they will continue down this road, even with lesser lights (i.e. BARBAROSSA, THE SOLOMON'S CAMPAIGN, etc). Second, there are a number a new games that are rendering older, esoteric titles at a much reduced value. For example, I have a copy of RED SUN RISING that I was considering parting with, but MMP's new game on the Russo-Japanese War is probably going to savage whatever price I'd hope to have gotten for it. Such is life. Get used to it!

Delete Comment EXACTLY grumps, but as i said b4-this "market" like all markets will crash and burn! home rules are cool but getting f2f games is hard to do-it seems every wargamer lives 1,000 miles from the other@ the "newer" games get more plyrs on vassal etc. but even so, i get a blast outta making new PANZERBLITZ scenarios, rules, etc-even plaing solo. @ to the creepy ebay "pros", one day they will find themselves with FULDA GAP unpunched@ wont be able to give it away! lol

One thing I really noticed at the local convention here in the Bay Area is that the price of those old SPI games has really gone down. Even looking at E-Bay one can notice the sharp decline. Along with everything else, we may have to readjust our expectations regarding the worth of our collections.
