Oh, ATLANTIC WALL is a dog--don't do it. I was SOOOO disappointed with that game. I'd wait for the Decision Games redesign--at least, that is, if you agreed with their redesign of WACHT AM RHEIN. THE LONGEST DAY was so much better, despite it's flaws, to my mind. Haven't played GMT's new THE BATTLE FOR NORMANDY, which looks much like ATLANTIC WALL in terms of scale. I want a Normandy campaign game that takes me through OPERATION COBRA to the Mortain counteroffensive to the Falaise Pocket. I sold my copy of ATLANTIC WALL with nary a tear either. I was so bummed out by the game. Horribly unbalanced--the Germans had not a prayer of winning.

lol yea, actually it is in no particular order-i don't know why it is first.it is actually resonable, i made the mistake of thinking i was the only one interested in this game! wrong again....lol yea eric your right, i think when people buy CNA they are buying the "legend/myth/story" and not a game. as an addendum i would add ATLANTIC WALL to the list-i really want this game so i may succumb to the price...

Don't cry too hard over not being able to afford CAMPAIGN FOR NORTH AFRICA. I sold two of them last February at auction and didn't shed a tear. Tried playing it back in the day when it came out--even did an "easy" scenario and the whole design simply shorted to ground. Completely unplayable. I think it would make a terrific computer game if someone decides to do it, but you'd still need some decision support software to do logistical calculations for various options you'd be considering. Truly requires a staff to play.

The original BARBAROSSA never did much for me either. I never played 1941 or NORMANDY, but I know the rest of these games really well and can sympathize with your plight!

I found a seller, and bought some General Magazines from him, Then I saw he had a first world war biplane hex & chit, it didnt have any bids, I asked how much while I was buying the Mags, he quoted about £24PlusP&P, I decided to leave it as I bought too many items that week, he then sold it for about £12, it seems if you show interest they pump up the price on ebay.

CONSPIRACY ALERT-maybe they are jacking up the prices on old games to make their "remakes" a more appealing alternative?!? naw, it's just idiot's that pay the prices...

Nice list! Barbarossa was one of three wargames I ordered when I first heard about them. I still have it too. Panzergruppe Guderian you can find for about $40 on Ebay. I've been waiting for L2 to come out with their remake, but for some reason it's stuck in limbo and has been for six years. (Yes, sorry guys, I know every alternate post I write mentions this.) :)
