GBOH Chariots of Fire: Sekmem: The Canannites killed Pharoah Senusret III on a lucky die roll in the first combat, so the Egyptians withdrew rather quickly. Current battle is Senzar - Thutmose III vs the Mitanni. Lots of chariots. The DiF 1944 campaign continues. The USAAF has a good mission 6. The points now range in the Axis Minor Victory area, but the last mission will decide the campaign.

Monstercon 2010: Tried Assyrian Wars but didn't get too far into it. Two battles from Chariots of Fire, a Flying Colors scenario and lots of Wings of War. Took part in the Strike Force One tournament but lost the first game (as usual)!

I just got my copies of World at War's Decision in the Desert, and the old issue of Against the Odds, with Big Push. Both should be on my game table in the coming weeks.

Started a Daylight Bombing 1944 campaign for Down in Flames - Aces High (DVG). Finished 4 out of the 7 missions required this afternoon. The Allies have +19 VPs at this time in the "Axis Minor" victory level. With 3 missions left this could easily go either way.

Ended a second Flying Colors scenario. It was going to be 30 turns so we didn't get it all the way done. But about half the English fleet was dismasted or captured, so it was looking bad for the RN. We both think this is a pretty fun game. I like it better than any other sailing ship game I have played. We're going to take it to Monstercon.

Flying Colors scenario "Sadras 1782" from the Ship of the Line expansion. A French fleet of twelve against a slightly smaller English group. The British captured one ship and dismasted another which struck in 12 turns. Good learning scenario. Also War on Terror and Down in Flames (DVG) at KitCon last weekend.

Finished There Must Be A Victory. The Austrians won by about 39-36. I never got the Italian army chit/event so we weren't able to take control of Lissa, handing the Austrians 15 VPs at the end. It went so fast we had time to try Sumer ca. 2320 from Chariots of Fire. King Sargon routed the Sumerians in three game turns. Our first battle from this new GBOH game.

There Must Be A Victory by ATO. A very attractive topic. We got through 7 turns at our first sitting. One big naval battle where the Austrians got in some good rams on the 12th (last) impulse.

Several solitaire campaigns of Phantom Leader. Also 1960: The Making of a President. A 313 electoral vote victory for Nixon!

Finished The Pocket at Falaise from ATO. Allied victory by +5 VPs. Very close, wasn't sure who was ahead until the end game VP count. An interesting design from Ted Racier.
