This July, Andreas and I visited Speyer
, a 2000 year old city in Southwestern Germany, founded by the Romans. During the Middle Ages, Speyer was the Imperial City where kings and emperors ruled over Germany.
The city has a rich history, the oldest and largest Romanic church world-wide (which is even an UNESCO world heritage site) with Imperial tombs, and - last but not least - a fantastic Technology Museum with planes (for example the Antonov An-22), several WWII vehicles, helicopters (the "Hind") and the Russian space shuttle Buran.Read our extensive travelogue (with image gallery!) on the HFC website!
