The official social platform for ConsimWorld
I can make this public now. The news is that I resigned as staff developer with Turning Point Simulations, and that they are putting the remaining games in the hands of the able Lembit Tohver. The sad fact is that with a full-time online teaching job at APUS, a part-time job in the classroom at La Roche College, and the homestretch of my work on a second Masters degree at APUS, I just ran out of time. There was no way that I could devote the time to the projects that they deserve, or meet anything resembling a deadline. So the best way to do justice to TPS was to pass the job on to someone else.
As a final note, I must say that this is a most honest and ethical company. Customers can judge the products, as they are out there for all to see, but don't always see what happens behind the door. But I have always been impressed, from first to last, by the standards at TPS and Against the Odds.
I'm still going to be in the wargaming industry, but not rushing to meet deadlines. Line of Departure remains in operation, with a new issue coming out in a couple of weeks. I hope to design the occasional wargame too. So I'm not going away by any means.

Good call, Jim. I have all the TPS games (just got the most recent 4) and I'm sure they will miss your hand in the development. Still, life priorities are what they are.
Looking forward to the next LINE OF DEPARTURE!
Thanks, John.
Jim, thanks for all your contributions in support of TPS!
