Line of Departure Issue 75 Ready to Go

The seventy-fifth edition of Line of Departure is printed and in the house, literally.  This one profiles Americans at War, and is actually the second to have that theme.  The articles are all by me.

Civil War on River and Sea: A Review of Rebel Raiders on the High Seas

Tactics Before ASL: Squad Leader and its Modules

Two Visions of Vietnam: Command Magazine's Minigames of the Vietnam War

NATO v. Warsaw Pact, 1973: Two Additional Scenarios for the Original Red Star/White Star, From SPI

Coming Attractions: Paul Rohrbaugh's The Vicksburg Campaign, for Turning Point Simulations

The magazine is available now, and does exist.  If you're a domestic subscriber, you can expect to find it in your mailbox next week.  You can read more about it, and read the Bully Pulpit editorial here, and purchase it here.

I think I probably covered that game more this year than anyone has since about 1975.  I'm glad that I'm not the only one who still owns the game.

Got mine today and--as is typical--I devoured it from cover to cover. All I need to do now is try out the RED STAR/WHITE STAR scenarios!

I just put the newest issue into the mail this evening, and so it should be popping up in mailboxes quite soon. I expect it to arrive to the subscribers in Gibsonia, and in its near suburbs including Bairdford, Dorseyville, Russellton, and Pittsburgh on Saturday. The rest of the country should see theirs on Tuesday, impeded only by the long Labor Day weekend. The rest of the world will see theirs shortly thereafter.
