I promised you some good news about Line of Departure, and here it is. Issue 83 is complete, and about to be printed, with an expected release of next week. Finally!

There is more good news for the readers. No one's subscription runs out with Issue 83. The reason is that I am extending every paying subscription by one issue. That's right, everyone gets a free issue. This is not an offer for new people, though I appreciate all the customers, but a gesture of appreciation to existing customers for all of your support. After all, what do I look like, a cable TV company?

Thanks, Eric! I have MMP game too, just haven't tried it yet. Give me time.
I'm actually working a little bit on the next issue now. I just got one big thing out of the way, which was a video presentation on American seacoast fortification and coastal artillery. That's done, so the usual school grading stuff.
I'm glad that you like the Berg piece too. It is not easy being fair and balanced with him.
JIm, I got my copy and--as usual--read it cover to cover! Your review of THE DAY OF WATERLOO makes me want to break out that game and give it a spin! DRIVE ON WASHINGTON is one of the old SPI GBACW I never got, so I absorbed that review with eager interest. Now that I've got the MMP Line of Battle game on the subject, I'm not sure I'll need it, but I wouldn't have come to that judgment without your excellent examination. Am now interested in BRAVE LITTLE BELGIUM (been eyeing it for a while) and I've got Greene's 1st Ed TOGO but haven't broken it out yet. Jason Guard's piece on miniature wargaming was fun and I thought your tribute to Berg was very even-handed. Nicely done!
The last of the subscriber copies went into the mail today, so watch your mailboxes!
The first copies of Issue 83 went into the mail this morning! The rest should follow over the weekend.
I just sent in the order to have Line of Departure Issue 83 printed, and added extended the subscriptions for all the existing customers, as promised. The magazine should be on its way to the subscribers by the end of the week.
