Give this to Sarah Palin . . . she did her best to push Jackson off "the front page". Maybe we should ask Sanford for another interview . . . As for Jackson:

"he should have been prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law regarding the child molestation cases."

He was. He was acquited. (That doesn't mean he didn't do what everyone seems to say . . . )

" I just hope to hell no one tries to nominate this freak for sainthood."

No one is. A considerable talent; a difficult, complex, drivem and tortured person.

Like most game designers.

Have a happy, healthy holiday dicerollers . . . I will, with my friend's new cookbook recipes for cold cucumber and dill soup, grilled chicken with onions, and cheese and horseradish grits.

Better than an Eastfront game . . .

My neighbor's cat snuck into the house four times yesterday when people were going in and out. The one time Princess got to the dog's bowl and started scarfing down Allison's food.

I was laughing too much to get a picture.

"texting" has it's uses,
it is much easier to text a few guys "meet you at the bar" then it is to call each one and have to hear the wife screaming in the background...

I despise cell phones - so much so that I stopped using mine and got rid of it 3 years ago.

---but, the irony of Richard "Campaign for North Africa" Berg saying "Simplicity is often The Solution" is pure Gold!

Admittedly, it seems to be getting better - having recently wrapped up a game of Terrible Swift Sword 2nd Ed (if they would reprint 3DoG I would buy it) was followed up by a welcome game of Glory III.

Simplicity is often The Solution. Thyat's how I look at the proliferation of "phones", text messaging, and all sorts of quasi-Duck Tracy gadgets. What ever happened to just calling some one? Too easy to spread far too much information . . .

It reminds too of the story about the space program in the sixties. Both the United States and USSR found that they needed a writing implement that would work at every angle, in zero gravity, and in extremes of temperature.

So NASA went through an exhaustive research and development process for a new pen, spending millions on it. Then the design went to procurement and was let out for bidding, with all due diligence.

The Russians... The Russians used a pencil.
