Lock 'n Load: Honneur et Patrie Debuts New Preorder System Trial

Introducing our Guffless Preorder System

Okay folks. I’ve seen the immense success Kickstarter is having, and we are implementing those same ideas in a test run preorder funding project. I’m offering several levels of support for this particular project, Honneur at Patrie. I’ll list them below.

The levels, however, are not the only new thing in this experiment. I’m going to tell you how much money we need to raise, and place a time limit on raising it. Furthermore, if we don’t raise the money in the given time, I’ll drop the project, and all orders/donations/support associated with it will be cancelled. And further, furthermore (is that proper English?) if we do raise the money, I will give you a promised date when the expansion will ship. Clean, simple, radical. More game, less guff… we hope. Last, but not least I will update the page every Friday and send a newsletter to contributors (not a simple task, it’s a manual update).

Funding Deadline: 11:59 PM (EST), Tuesday, November 22d.

Why? We aren’t messing around. If we don’t get the funding, we aren’t printing. I’m not keeping this on preorder for three years to pick up 17 more orders. Beginning at 9:00 AM (EST) on November 23rd we will either cancel or charge all orders associated with this expansion. That will take longer than one day, but we will begin on the 23nd and finish by December 2nd.

Funding Required: $7,000.

Shipping Date: No later than February 21st.

Why so long? Because of the unique nature of this funding project. We simply do NOT know if this game will be published until November. To complete the project, print, receive, assemble, and begin shipping could take as long as four months. We will strive to ship earlier, but is four months that long? We are talking about having the game in your hands seven months from the day it goes on preorder. That’s radical, I’d say. If we do not ship by February 21st we will immediately refund money to anyone who so asks.
