I typically get a lot of requests of members asking where they can go to find members that may live near them. My answer is you can try a search under our MEMBERS tab area, which will work so long as the member entered their location in a way you are actively searching. Another option is to click on the MAP tab and see who shows up in your general vicinity.

If you all haven't had the chance yet, I highly recommend you spend a few seconds to click on the MAP tab and edit your location so it appears on the map. We have a ton of members here, so it would be great to see more members in this geo view. Thanks!

Yeah -- to be honest, I know how with "Real Life" (TM) stuff can happen (family, health, job issues, etc.) so folks may drop off but it's great as we've seen on the CSW Forum how folks rejoin the fold after a few years and really get motivated to get playing again. The main thing is that they know we'll be here and leave the lights on for them. ;-)

I just know that I (for one) sometimes join sites, and then become inactive for long times, yet come back.

I never suggested for one minute to remove non active users without notifying them of possible deletion. I was just curious as to whether or not John does it.

Strikes me that removing members without their request is just a mistake.

As to WITH request, that makes sense if there's an easy means of doing so.

I'd have to check if that is a feature that is available. Not extremely high on the priority list given enhancements we are working to roll out for the CSW Forum, to be honest -- but I'll be happy to look into it.

Speaking of members, there seems to be quite a few members who seem to have been inactive for a long time. Do you ever have a clear out of long term inactive members?
