Thanks to the specials page at GMT Games, my wallet took another hit and I ordered a couple of new games, both of which arrived yesterday:

Conquest of Paradise - looks like a fun evening game. My only concern is how long it takes to play. The back of the box is a bit vague. Looks like anywhere from 1 to 2.5 hours. Even the longer time is probably okay for the group of players I usually play these kinds of games with. Just hope it isn't too fiddly. Looking at the gigantic stacks on its BGG page has me a bit worried.

Morsecode - the first, and biggest, of UGG's Empires Of The Apocalypse. Wow, what a bargain for only US$23 on the GMT page!. I have the North African expansion / mini game, Triumph and Fall of the Desert Fox, but this looks like fun. Especially with the VASSEL module.

thanks for the input - 90 minutes is a very doable time. And I'll keep a look out for the event cards.

Conquest of Paradise is about 90 minutes all in, including the optional rules. I also recommend getting the expansion random event cards from a recent edition of C3i. It's become one of my favorite games.
