I don't think you would want the chainsaw starting inside the tube. It could tear up the launcher.

Maybe have the chainsaw pull cord attached securely to the launcher (you would have to do this everytime you loaded a new chainsaw round) so that as the chainsaw exits the tube, the pull cord, remaining attached to the launcher, causes the chainsaw flywheel to spin thereby starting the chainsaw just after exit. Of course the pull cord would detach from the chainsaw.

Another idea is to sleaze the chainsaw blade in a protect cover that peals apart upon tube exit.
Anyway just some ideas for you Lisa, hopefully you can get it working.
