Picket Duty is undergoing final artwork at Legion Wargames. Target date for release is August! Below is the final box art!
@Jim Ransom -- thanks for preordering. Proved to be a tough one to do. I believe I have captured the spirit of their plight, It's not meant to be a detailed simulation, and some sacrifices had to be made to make the game playable.
What I have included are a couple of scenarios that don't use the Fletcher class. I did this to give players an idea on how to adapt the game to a different class. I have to thank Bob Best, one of our play testers, for making this possible. Also included are different weapon layouts used by the Fletcher class if players wish to adapt those ships into the game.
The artwork is looking fantastic and I am sure it will draw a lot of ooh's and ah's!
Steve, I preordered you game as soon as I saw it. Great topic for a solitaire game. Even a die hard Submariner like me can appreciate the bravery and fortitude of those Destroyermen on their tin cans during the Okinawa campaign.
Eagerly anticipating the release -- congrats!
Mark, indeed it has been!
