Paul and I have been cooperating on this game for quite some time. If you have a comment on the images I posted, please make them or ask questions about the game in general.

Not yet, Steve. Bruce is working on the High Flying Dice Games website and I believe he's got a page in the works currently for September's Eagles. However, work on the actual game has been taking up all of the "front burner" space. Now that the components are finalized the SE webpage should be nearing the final pylon soon!

Is there a game page for this? Looking forward to purchasing this one!

From Bruce's email to me about the finished prototype:

The Prototype:

You’ve gotten one prototype, the old one of which that is the only copy. I believe you and I are on the same wavelength as to appeal of the game as a Euro-game. This is exactly what it is. With that in mind it needs to be flashy, allow a lot of player interaction and be a quality package that people want to buy and play, repeatedly.
As to interaction, the game has that. I and my wife have played a couple of two player games and this coming week will actually have four people playing with one of the prototypes. Four players are optimal as it loses some with two players. I am pretty sure that the game will be a hit with groups as a game takes less than two hours to play.

It also lends itself well to tournament play and the creation of some type of game “ladder” that other games use for tournament play. This would make it a regular at conventions, like the WBC.

The prototype I’ll be sending you is a pretty much finished product as to components but not necessarily quality. I wanted to list the components that are in the prototype:

· Two, 17” x 22” mounted maps
· Two, 36 sheets of stickers depicting planes and informational markers
· 36 wooden tokens
· One, 54 card Action Deck
· One, 36 card Pilot Card Deck
· One, 36 card Plane Deck
· One, 16 page rules book with historical commentary and designer's notes
· One, 16 page Racing Program with historical commentary of each Thompson Trophy Race
· Four, Airspeed gauges

I got to playtest it a few years back at Phantom of the Attic in Pittsburgh, and it was extremely cool.
