I have just received my new copy of DVG Field Commander Alexander today,
and I have Where There is Discord on pre-order.
My Grand Scheme for this year is to focus on buying some good Solitaire games, and I have my eyes on Field Commander Rommel and U-boat Leader, but are there any others that you could recommend?
Although I enjoy playing the standard 2 player wargame solo, I want to now focus my attention on the good solitaire only games that are out there.
Your suggestions & recommendations would be gratefully received.

Comment by Paul Lipps on January 27, 2013 at 12:32am Hi Roger I am not sure if D-Day will be a straight reprint or not.
Comment by Roger Morley on January 26, 2013 at 8:13pm That is a comprehensive list...lol.
RAF is on my radar too....ha ha ha ...radar....ha ha ha....RAF......hmmm
I have heard of most of the others, so I will watch out on ebay to see if any become available, as due to their age, it maybe the best place to get a copy of them.
Many thanks for your offer, it would be great to take you up on it, and I have sent you a PM.
Comment by Jack E. Hearn on January 26, 2013 at 7:30pm Ambush is an old favorite....Patton's Best is good but not great, B-17 Queen of the Skies is a sure fire winner, OG's Eastern Front solitaire is worth a look, Raid on St. Nazaire is long but well worth the effort, GDW's Phase Line Smash is another oldie but goodie, Mosby's Rangers is a lot of fun, DG's World at War #19 features The Hardest Days, a sort of RAF lite by the same designer, John Butterfield.....that should hold you for a while lol!
Comment by Jack E. Hearn on January 26, 2013 at 7:23pm RAF is an excellent solo game as well...one of the best actually. I have both the DG and WEG versions.
Comment by Jack E. Hearn on January 26, 2013 at 7:21pm Hey Rog...I have an extra copy of U-boat leader, unopened and yours if you like.....pm an address and it will be on it's way. I got it free through an odd circumstance so I wouldn't feel right charging someone for it.
Comment by Roger Morley on January 26, 2013 at 5:50am Paul - do you know if the re-print of Omaha will have changes or will it be a straight forward re-print?
Steve - I have also had my eyes on those "leader" games, but was a little unsure, so your opinion and input is valuable.
Comment by Paul Lipps on January 25, 2013 at 11:05pm Hi Roger. I recently picked up Field Commander Rommel Deluxe, but I have yet to get it on the table. Looks very nice though. Now, D-Day on Omaha Beach has a reprint upcoming. This would be my best recommendation for a solitaire game. Another one I really enjoy is Labyrinth: The War on Terror.
Comment by Steve K on January 25, 2013 at 9:52pm I love Hornet Leader, Phantom Leader and Thunderbolt/Apache Leader. U-Boat Leader is fun for a change of pace, but obviously I enjoy dropping bombs on bad guys.
