Argghhhhh, I just crashed the comment generator and lost all the text. I will start again. I will write it in Word and paste here.

Further to what I already posted, I don’t believe there is anything much needed for additional rules, the only interaction between the two systems are the political rules and rules about naval movement of supply and land units.

I’ll look up some info on the ships mentioned in the Fleet games.   I don’t know yet if many of the Soviet ships in the games are of the roll on roll off variety, I suppose some are though. They figure prominently in US military analysis. The Soviets didn’t have much real amphibious capacity. They had mostly what in Arctic Front is called naval infantry that can only unload at ports. And their really useful amphibious ships of the Rogov class were sent to the Far East.

As an example of political rule interaction, in a playthrough of the two game in parallel, 6th Fleet delivered the Yugoslavs on the Pact side whereas in TWW they are automatically NATO allies. I resolved that by assuming a civil war began and used an existing mod that had worked out the borders between the Yugoslav states and I gave the Serbs all the armour units, one of which was in Slovenia and two others in Bosnia pretty much as happened in the real civil war. The rest of the units belong to whatever state they are in.

Now for the fun part, a sample of the map. Much more later.
