We've now hit 1,000 members on the CONSIMWORLD Social Website

This is definitely a milestone event--1,000 members have joined the CONSIMWORLD Social Website. Maybe here's a good place to talk about what you like, what you don't like, and what you wish you could do here as opposed to the "main" CONSIMWORLD website and Forum pages.

Andreas, made a good bunch of points. It does seem more personal able here and what I have noticed is that if one uses their real picture you tend to be more civil in your discussions with them, also, as Andreas points out, we are more then just wargamers and somehow this site lets that shine out. I can post my favorite Slayer or Black Sabbath songs and pictures of my dog or whatever. I took a small voyage in CSW forums but I found it a bit too heated at times and not so friendly. Perhaps it was the climate at the time.

Here is it just seem more, oh I don't know, social able.

CSW as a whole is of course great (Thanks John!) but what I like so much regarding CSWsocial is that it's much more personal than the fora over there. The fora are about topics and your specific game/era interests and you usually subscribe only to folders that fit your interests. Here it's all about people and you get the possibilty to communicate with folks that you may have never met because they do subscribe to different folders at the fora. And it looks much better here, it's more interactive, with the possibility to add pics as Don said, videos, music and stuff like that. In addition it's not limited to The Hobby so you can share thoughts about almost anything with your wargaming friends which also gives you a better impression about who they are, what they like, what they think about different topics etc.. Since this is a page for getting to know people I would prefer that members only use real pics as their avatars so one can actually put a face to a name but I don't see this happen on a grand scale anytime soon...Anyway, I'm glad to be part of this great community and I enjoy the talks with my friends here. Finding likeminded folks is important in this life you know? :-)
P.S.: Well we need a set of nice smileys, don't we? :P

I would like to see a Frappr-like map where we can see where all the members are (if they so choose to be listed). I absolutely hate Frappr's interface. What's more irritating is, now that I have moved from Seattle, I cannot move my home location on the Frapper map.

Well I defiantly like the blogging here then over there. You can attach images (I use photobucket). I also like having my own personal page, but I love the way the War Games pages are setup over there. It's really easy to talk about war games over there then here.

My thoughts...
