What is on YOUR War Planner? Here is my War Planner....

THE FALL OF ROME. I have started reading the original S&T #39 rules to this game, and I also have a copy of S&T #181 rules, so it will be full steam ahead on this game. This game has been heavily slated, especially for it's poorly written rules, so for some odd reason, it has given me cause to set this one up and find out what all the fuss is about. Another reason for setting this one up is because it is a solo game, which is always a plus with with me.

BLOODY BUNA. I was running through the list of games which came with The Wargamer magazine on the BGG site, and this one really caught my eye. Not because it is old, but because of the subject it covers, which was a Battle in the New Guinea Campaign during WW2. I found a Vassal mod for it and was kindly given a copy of the rules, so I will be trying this game out on Vassal. It looks a stunning little game on a very important (and often forgotten about) point in the Pacific War.

SLOUCH HATS. The rules have been read, all the game parts have been carefully fondled, and soon I will give the rules a second reading before breaking it out onto the War Table, provided I have finished Fall of Rome!

I have just started my first tentative steps in scenario 1. I have come across odd bits and pieces in the rules that maybe could have been explained better, but using a little common sense soon sorts these ones out

Haven't gotten to it yet.

@Enrico - so what did you think of FoR?

Comment by Roger Morley on March 7, 2012 at 3:16am

It is a CB gamebox, which I found on LYG.

I am waiting for one more page of the rules to come my way, once that arrives, I will let you have a copy of it.

Thanks Roger! is that a Vassal or Cyberboard module for Bloody Buna?

I shall see what I can do for you Tony

Bloody Buna rules, Roger if it's not too much trouble can you pass along a copy of the rules? I'm working on something dealing with that campaign.

Interesting. Hmmmm...like you I hope it is not too light. I suppose not being heavy has merit for a four player game under some circumstances, but there is that risk of losing appeal if taken too far. A delicate balance.

Time will tell. I just wanna be a Hittite!

GK's definitely quite light. Just hoping that won't spoil it for me.

I am waiting on the reviews for God Kings to roll in. It is a subject that greatly interests me.
