Which computer do you use to play War Games?

Hi

I am thinking in buying a new computer. The one that I am using is 8 years old and have a 15" monitor. It is a bit dull to play vassal in this computer.

One of my options is the iMac 21". I really need some solutions.
Playing vassal and using dropbox in a iMac 21" does have some restrictions?

What do use to play vassal, operating system and the inches of the monitor.

Thanks in advance.

Grande abraço !

Ok guys...

I bought a 23.6" monitor and it works good with my very old laptop.

Problem resolves.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks Kev.

17" will do perfectly for some time.

Mate vwtgi has it right resolution is important,a s well as real estate (size). I hope the economy improves for you soon.

When picking out a monitor for VASSAL don't concern yourself too much with the size as much as the overall resolution of the monitor. I used to run an old PC/Ubuntu combination with a 2560x1600 monitor. You can cover a lot of map with that much resolution. A quick peek on the 'net shows there are plenty of 23" that will give you better than hi-def (1920x1080) resolution, and if you move up to 27"+ you can easily get 2560 (with differing heights).

Of course is if you're PC is already 8 years old you may very well have to invest in a new graphics card to drive a high resolution monitor.

How many inches do you recommend Kev?
