It cold...and we have another storm inbound, which has all the old folks spooked. How have you been and what are you playing? I am messing around with Dead Of Winter from GMT. Seems appropriate
"Sad Panda" is a phrase I got from my buddy Alex. He's Ukranian and has a cool accent and sometimes just comes out with odd little phrases like that. Some of them tend to stick with our odd group of gaming buddies. So when anyone is a little down but not waaay down, they are a "sad panda".

Why a sad panda? why not a dissapointed dingo? or a disgrunteled Badger?
It is interesting, I like the flow of the game. But I just got back from the hospital. Lauren had a really bad Asthma attack and is in the Peds ward for a couple of days. It was scary

Today will be a good day. (Of course, I say that every morning.) It will rain, my car will eventually start, I will be cold in the morning and never really get warm all day, the people I work with will not have gotten any smarter over the weekend, the 49ers will most likely defeat themselves in yet another game - BUT - at the end of the day, I will curl up with my sweetie and none of the rest of it will matter. :0) So today will be a good day.
How are you doing?

Did ya ever notice that people tend to forget they are driving when 3 drops of water (in any form) hit the road?
Oh, that would be incredibly awesome if you did! As much as I would love to come to the GMT weekends, it just doesn't seem to be in the cards. I'd love to actually meet you guys. :)

I would have loved a rematch but sadly didn't get the chance. Only got in two games of Combat Commander the whole time.
Although I didn't get to play him again in Combat Commander, I did get to play a couple of other games. I beat him in 2 de Mayo and I won the 4 player game of Reef Encounter we played.
Hey, had to share! Just got back from BGG Con. I pulled one of the green tickets and thus went to the special prize room. I was so pumped to find that the CC:E Stalingrad battle pack was one of my choices. Woo hoo!
Along with everything else, I got in two games of CC:E - including a face-to-face game with Rich Pardoe. Dang, that guy's good!

I've found the internal debate (i.e. the debate in my head) has been to either play a lot of games poorly or a few games well. I prefer the latter model, but then you must, as you say, find that set of holy grail games that one chooses to become goo…
Chris:
Really - that's a good point. I wonder if the Audi folks realized the message they were sending out with this one. I doubt if anyone found it funny in the least.

I've recently printed and built "To the Last Man." I was able to play the game and get an idea of its look and feel beforehand thanks to BGG and Cyberboard. It's an excellent game, one well worth the bother.
I _hope_ it is just by unfortunate accid…
