Matt, I'm letting go of a bunch of games and am sure I will be under J.R.Tracey's inventory of 5000 games! Sure of it!

I was going to ask you the same thing. I'm up a Lisa's, waiting her for to get home from work so we can go to dinner before the snow buries us.

I'm doing okay. We pulled out "For The People" as I have never played it before, but found we were missing some parts. So we are switching gears to "A Most Dangerous Time" instead. My son takes the game room over the holidays and I have been yearning for a nice long wargame, so I put his furniture back in the closet and moved the game table back into place. He won't be up again until June, so I have a while to play.

Weather-wise, we are on Day 3 of massive rain, thunder/lightning, roads flooded, trees down, high winds, etc. A typical NorCal winter storm. We have been lucky this year in that we have not lost power... yet. But it makes getting to to work and back tricky!

Is it still all cold and snowy where you are? How long does that last? We are having a cold (by California standards) storm here and it made me think of you. I decided we really have it easy. But then I got curious...

I'm sorry to hear that - I hope Lauren bounces back quickly! We had a few scares with my oldest nephew when he was little and fighting asthma. It's a scary thing to be there and not be able to do anything to help. You have my sympathy.

Got my copy of BALTIC GAP over the weekend and was fondling the east map...looking at the road from Tartu to Tallinn and remembering driving back and forth across that landscape. Now, when can we play it?

When does your crew get home? Maybe you can cheer yourself up by making a nice surprise for each of them when they get home...? In case it helps, consider yourself "long-distance hugged"! :0)

I've found the internal debate (i.e. the debate in my head) has been to either play a lot of games poorly or a few games well. I prefer the latter model, but then you must, as you say, find that set of holy grail games that one chooses to become goo…

Chris: Really - that's a good point. I wonder if the Audi folks realized the message they were sending out with this one. I doubt if anyone found it funny in the least. Smitty

Yes, this was a creepy ad. I looked at the Audi website to compare this car to others. Oddly enough, you are unable to compare it to the VW SportWagon TDI, which gets exactly the same mileage.
