Hello Jon,

For some reason I hadn't fully made the connection between you and Rich Phares until I had breakfast with him this weekend.

All the best - Tom

Yes, the time frame makes it even more amazing. But at base, that advanced game - whether rushed or not - works. Now, I wouldn't want to play that deep of a game all the time, but for the once, it was awesome. I spent a few weeks just trying to understand it, and when I got it, it was one of those "aha!" moments that make you feel good about the learning experience.

I wish Mr. Bay would grace us with more designs.

Jon, Thanks for the comments on my blog. I have to say, you had one heck of an Exciting Cross-Country Trip. I'm glad to see you made it through with as minimal damage as possible. (I did a couple of DITY moves in the Army; ALWAYS in the back of my mind was that possibility of Something Bad. I, fortunately, managed to not have an adventure like that.) But, with a new chapter in your life, Welcome to the East....where all the Battlefields are located!!! I suggest you start with Antietam -still fairly 1860's atmosphere, still quietly beautiful and still staggering to comprehend.

Thanks for joining paintball. It's a blast. When the paintballs whizz past your head and you have no idea where they're coming from, what an adrenaline rush!

My philosophy is that boys are front loading and girls are delayed release. Boys are a terror when they are young, but I'd hate to be dealing with teenage girls. You have a while . . .

(I also suspect girls are less likely to wargame with their daddy)

Very cute kid. With three boys, I am very jealous.

Jon:

Thank you for adding me - Smitty only speaks in the highest regard about you. If you need anything from us if you try to resettle i nthe east, feel free to base out of here (but he's already told you that, right?).

PS - I have another guitar pic from Buck Dharma - "the

girls" work like a charm!

How do yu plan to move the will cellar? You may have to drink it prior to the movers arriving. You know, just to reduce your shipping weight :-0

Nice! My problem is, I would go through that in about 3 months, if it were in my house. I can only moderate by not buying the stuff. My bad.
