I have been reading the posts from Eric Walters and others about games that you have parted with over the years. I am just getting back into wargaming after a long absence, and trying to acquire all…Continue

Below is a photo of the final disposition of the units in the immediate vicinity of Omaha. I'm sure I broke several rules or at least the intent of some of them, even during the structured landing phase. Please bear with me.
Phase 1. All units except the DD tanks make it to shore. Thank goodness for drift, or several infantry companies would not have made it. I had two DD tank units scheduled to come ashore during Phase 1, but none of them did. Yikes! During the…

The pocket is closed, and Argentan will probably fall in the next turn. There is chaotic maneuver along the Dives River with the Germans attempting to open escape routes to the east while the Poles, Canadians, and Americans are attempting to keep them closed. In the next turn or two, those German counterattacking units will probably have to begin to bug out…

Howdy...
I'm going to try and make it to the Madness meet on the 21st. Maybe we'll see you there?
Hi Brett, Thanks for the friend invite. Unfortunately I have been very time limited lately and haven't had a chance to game face to face much.
You should check out the North Texas Gamers.

Also since you are an ASL guy, you should check out:

They have a North Texas group that is really friendly.
Nice to meet you and I hope we can get together at some point for some gaming!
Homercon is certainly one event I would like to attend. In the past few years I have started attending some conventions. Made it to the CSW Expo once, I have gone gone to the BrogFest (Charleston) for the past 3 years, I am going to Rapier (Jacksonville) in June, I am going to host a small con (3rd annual Savannah Siege) either this summer or fall, and then hope to get to WBC in August. Attending 3-4 conventions in one year would be a record for me. Of course, 3 of them are only a short drive so that helps.
I have not played any Vassal yet but actually have my first game scheduled for Sunday night with another gamer who is experienced with it. We will be playing Monmouth (Amer Rev - GMT). Once I get up to speed maybe we can take a shot at a game online in the near future.
Feel free to email me (easter.usma@gmail.com) or call (912) 450-5555 anytime when you are ready to try and setup something.
As a side note, my wife (Carla Miller class of 1989) was originally from Floirissant. Is St. Louis your original home?
Chris
Brett, good to see a classmate online. Do you play any Vassal or get the chance to travel to any conventions? I own quite a few of the games on your list above.
Chris
Also ever hear of Panzer Digest?
Welcome aboard. Have you looked into the LAce War Series at all?

Thanks for the friend request. Seems we have several areas in common.
