Profile Information

Your introduction to consim gaming:
I think it started with playing with plastic green army men and deciding to add a dice roll to the game. But I think that counts as miniature gaming. I saw AH's Rise and Fall of the Third Reich on a friend's father's book shelf. I bought VG's Sixth Fleet and locked myself in my bedroom until I read the rules end to end at age 14. I was then hooked.
Your favorite game(s):
Old: VG's: Sixth Fleet, NATO, AH: Arab-Israeli War, Squad Leader, Up Front. SPI/TSR: Gleam of Bayonets GMT: Silver Bayonet, 3W- Modern naval battles
Current: Panzer Grenadier Series, Lock n Load -Day of Heroes, Fire in the Sky
What game(s) are you currently playing (solitaire, FTF, PBEM, etc.) or wish to play next?
Current: Day of Heroes Next: MMP's OCS Burma, Wish: APs Cassino '44
What game(s) have you played recently?
MMP's Fire in the Sky, Lock N' Load: Day of Heroes, Panzer Grenadier - White Eagles
In general, how much time do you spend gaming?
greatly curtailed - 1 day/month
How big is your game collection?
Modest -a bookcase and two boxes- about 14 games+
Your local game club(s) and/or where you reside (let's network!)
Fort Leavenworth, KS and Tabletop Games, Overland Park, KS
About Me
US Army Armor/Cavalry Officer with 22+ years gaming. Professionally I have degrees in Military History and Military Science. I am a combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and former combat advisor to an Iraqi Army Infantry Battalion.
I started about 14 years old. I enjoy all manner of wargames - strategic to tactical. Ancient to sci-fi (but mostly focused on WWII, Modern, and sci-fi). I enjoy miniatures too. Hence i suffer from the common addiction of spreading my limited time among multiple aspects of the hobby.
