Your introduction to consim gaming:: My first game was Avalon Hill's 1914, of all the introductions, bought as an eleventh birthday present by my grandparents. It took about two years for me to make total sense of that game, but it was the start of my lifelong hobby, one that is close to a vocation.

Now I'm an addict, but one who won't go to rehab.

About Me: I'm on the adjunct faculty of Ashford University, teaching political science. Now doing online teaching, full time, in political science through American Military University, a unit of American Public University System [APUS].

One of the things that might surprise a lot of people is that I'm an incurable workaholic. I don't think that it's a coincidence that the words "worthless" and "workless" are nearly identical. Between a day job, Line of Departure, work for game companies, and other pursuits, my record is having five gigs at once.

And I survived. I think. Maybe.

I should also mention that I enjoy candlelight dinners, long walks on the beach, and drinking from the skulls of my defeated enemies.

News, and It's Not Good

I have some news for Line of Departure subscribers especially. Unfortunately it's not good. Today I got a bad diagnosis at a doctor's office, and my driving will be curtailed for the foreseeable future. No, it's not a DUI, nor is it connected with substance abuse. I haven't posted images here yet, but in case you are interested I have larger maps completed for pretty much most of Tiller series' except for the Napoleonic series, although at the moment the most developed area would be the Squad Battles series.

All of these maps are using the stock graphics, although I plan to also feature some (depending upon when I can get to them) modded map graphics. Anyways that's a ways down the line.

One other thing, I guess I owe your magazine a link on the site, since I noticed you link over to Scenario Design Center ( Rich Hamilton had me take it over 2 years ago).
