Our miniatures group plays every tuesday night at my place (usually start at 6:30 and goes on till whenever). We play all kind of stuff (Last week it was Bolt Action 28mm). A main stay is Field of Battles for Napoleonic/ACW/Colonial (this is the simplified PIQUET system).

Hi Luke, Good to find some local player! What kind of stuff are you into?

I started out in consim in 1975 (Blitzkrieg), then moved through most of AH's catalog. I then got diverted bt RPG, CCG, Miniatures, Euro, etc. Nowadays my preferences are back to consim boardgame and historical minis. Among boardgames I do mainly CDG but will try other stuff.

Very occasionally I get to play on weekend, but friday afternoons are actually good for me to play something...

Hi Luke, some of my minis ( 20mm Airfix Napoleonics along with a smattering of Hinchcliffe and Minifigs just don't cut it against todays techniques). My 15mm ancients are a little better and I am thinking of using them for C & C:A. These days if I have spare time I'm working on 54mm scale stuff...I'm just finishing a Historex kit I've been working on for about 4 yrs, mainly due to long breaks between due to baby arriving. Who knows? It might even be finished in 2011!

I have a range of old 'Chota Sahib' figures in 54mm of various Indian Army soldiers of the Raj era. IMHO these are some of the finest sculptures available in his scale and really give a great feel for the period. I might get around to photos soon.
