How is your FAB game going?
I got an email from Miguel that he needs you and I to step in on the CC forum as he is going to busy in his personal life for a while. Any ideas on that front? (I just saw the email, so I haven't had time to come up with anything clever yet.)
Don Greenwood..... if I had a face to go with the name, I could tell you for sure. I am perfectly lousy at remembering names, but I does sound familiar.
I think your contributions to BP#2 are outstanding and we are glad to have them. If there were more scenarios designed/submitted, we would actually have to pick and choose, which I think would be a good thing. So keep 'em coming!
And the M. Falcon was a blast to build. We just finished her last night. I have more pic, but I haven't posted them. Partly due to time, and partly because I was thinking no one would be interested in them but me. I just put them in so that I could get them into my photo album to make them show up on my page. We don't glue the parts, but these huge kits are very well designed and hold up well over time. I have a Star Destroyer on the counter between the kitchen and the
dining roomgame table that we built several years ago and (other than dust) looks brand new.The name "Köhler" is the name of an (in Germany) extinct occupation. After a bit of googling I found out that the English equivalent is "charcoal burner" i.e. someone producing charcoal by burning wood.
I enjoy Manoeuvre. It is simple in terms of mechanics, not much to learn or remember, so it is easy to get into. But once I started playing, I was impressed with the depth of decisions to be made. And with the multiple nationalities, each with its own playstyle, I foresee a LOT of playtime before this game even begins to feel old.
I think is a great intro game for younger players. And with all the various leaders, I have already been tempted to read up on some of the names that I am not familiar with. And then, whoops, I've gone and learned something. ;0)
